UB-North Campus Receives Book Donation from Colina
Insurer Promotes LiteracyNassau, The Bahamas, April 28, 2022 – The University of The Bahamas’ (UB) Grand Bahama campus received copies of Former Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham’s book “I Say What I Mean and I Mean What I Say: Hubert A. Ingraham In His Own Words”, courtesy of Colina Insurance Limited (Colina).
Elrod Outten, Northern Branch Manager and Ethel Lightbourn, Office Administrator, presented the books to UB representatives.
“We are pleased to donate these books to The University of The Bahamas today,” said Elrod Outten, Branch Manager, Northern Branch, Colina Insurance Limited. “Books are essentially historic time capsules that house a wealth of knowledge.”
The book, which is the first of a three-volume set is a compilation of Ingraham’s speeches and statements over the course of his political career.
“Garrison Keillor once said, a book is a gift you can open again and again”, said Outten. “University students will benefit greatly from this compilation of historic speeches.”

Former Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham was in attendance in addition to Colina and UB representatives, M. Theresa Butler, editor, Patricia Glinton-Meicholas, assistant editor and other guests.
The donation was presented at UB’s temporary campus on West Atlantic Drive in Freeport.
