Mall Gift Wrapping for A Cause
Colina Volunteers Raise Funds for H4HNassau, The Bahamas, December 18, 2019 – Holiday shoppers had their gifts wrapped by Colina employee volunteers, for a small fee, at the Mall-at-Marathon today. All funds raised go directly to Hands for Hunger (H4H), an organization whose main objective is to rescue and repurpose food.
“Colina volunteers were thrilled to simultaneously raise funds for a great cause while spreading cheer by packaging all the exciting buys shoppers purchased for their loved ones,” said Maxine V. Seymour, Director, Corporate Communications, Colina Insurance Limited. “Holiday gift exchange is fueled by suspense, predicated on giftwrapping, we are glad provide this essential festive service in partnership with Hands for Hunger.”
H4H acts as a conduit for food donations from restaurants and hotels across the island to reach food banks and shelters, feeding those hungry in the community during the holidays and all year round. Representatives from Colina’s Internal Audit and other departments managed the giftwrapping in the center court of the popular indoor mall.
