Colina supports Bahamas Red Cross Starlight Soirée in Freeport

FREEPORT, Grand Bahama — Oct. 4, 2025 –  Colina Insurance Limited proudly sponsored the Starlight Soirée, a semi-formal gala reception held at the Grand Lucayan Resort. The evening brought together community members, supporters, and corporate partners for a night of elegance, entertainment, and purpose.

“[Colina’s] sponsorship directly supports the ongoing work of The Bahamas Red Cross Society in strengthening resilience and delivering essential assistance to the Grand Bahama community,” said Leteasha Lord, chairman of the Red Cross Ball Committee, Grand Bahama.

The fundraising event was moderated by Wil Stubbs and featured music by Deejay Steele, live music by The Top Tier Band, a performance by The Bahamas Dance Theatre, and headline entertainment by well-known Bahamian artist D-Mac (Dillon McKenzie), who is a crowd favourite with his authentic Rake ’n’ Scrape sound. Guests also enjoyed a lineup of exciting door prizes.

Speaking on behalf of Colina, Maxine Seymour, director of corporate communications, said: “Our partnership with The Bahamas Red Cross Society underscores Colina’s commitment to the communities we serve. Beyond business, we believe we are duty-bound to stand alongside organizations that provide hope, relief, and meaningful support to those who need it most.”

The Bahamas Red Cross remains a trusted force for stability in uncertain times, responding swiftly when disaster strikes and working year-round to strengthen communities through outreach and education. Its mission closely mirrors the work of the insurance industry, where preparation and protection against risk are at the core. “Both Colina and the Red Cross are in the business of readiness,” said Maxine Seymour, Director of Corporate Communications. “We exist to help people recover, rebuild, and regain hope after life’s unexpected storms.”
