Nassau, The Bahamas, January 30, 2023 – The Bahamas Chess Federation recently held their 2023 Bahamas Chess National Championship at Colina’s J Whitney Pinder building on Collins Avenue.

“This year many of the players who competed in the 2023 Bahamas National Championship are juniors,” said Kendrick Knowles, President, Bahamas Chess Federation. “Chess opens up a world of opportunities for young people and these young players represent the future of Bahamian chess.”

The Bahamas Chess National Championship concluded on Sunday, January 22, 2023. National Master Valentine Cox claimed The Bahamas Chess National Championship by winning 8 out of 9 games.
