Cancer Society to Host Vintage Virtual Ball

Colina Partners on “The Good Ole Days!” Event

Nassau, The Bahamas, May 26, 2021 – In recognition of Cancer Awareness Month, Colina Insurance Limited (Colina) is partnering with The Cancer Society of The Bahamas on its first ever Vintage Virtual Ball.

“Colina is committed to the health and wellness of our communities through supporting organizations that promote the prevention, early detection and treatment of diseases like cancer which negatively impact many individuals and families in our country,” said Maxine V. Seymour, Director, Corporate Communications, Colina Insurance Limited. “We applaud the Cancer Society for creatively adapting to the current times and wish them every success with the Ball.”

“Last year, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we were not able to host this annual event,” said Nicole Leary-Imhoff, Ball Co-Chair, The Cancer Society of The Bahamas. “This did not change the Society’s commitment to provide for its outreach programs and housing for patients at the Cancer Caring Center.”

“We look forward to sharing the evening with you,” said Leary-Imhoff.

The Cancer Society of The Bahamas will hold its first ever virtual ball on Saturday, May 29, 2021 under the theme “The Cancer Society Vintage Virtual Ball… The Good Ole Days”. Funds raised will go directly toward assistance programs and housing for cancer patients in need. Patrons will join this virtual event via Zoom with meals and wine provided for collection or delivery. They will dress for the period of their choice: 60s, 70s, 80s, etc. There will be live cybercasting, entertainment, an auction and grand raffle.Colina has purchased one of a limited number of tables available for the evening.
