Sales Trailblazers Honoured at Awards Day 2025

Nassau, The Bahamas, January 24, 2025 – The top sales professionals at Colina Insurance Limited shined brightly at this year’s Awards Day, held under the theme “Building for a Better Future.” The event recognized outstanding achievements in sales performance and celebrated those who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to client service and the growth of Colina.

La’Tarsha Cleare earned multiple accolades, including Top Producer of the Year, Seasoned Salesperson of the Year, Individual Medical Award, Quality Life Award, Century Club Award, President’s Club Officer, Gold Qualifier, and Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) Qualifier. Cleare’s unwavering commitment to her clients and outstanding performance continue to set her apart as a leader in the industry.

Sandra Smith was named Executive Salesperson of the Year and also received the Century Club Award, President’s Club Officer title, Quality Life Award, Gold Qualifier recognition, and MDRT Qualifier status. Shantell Bain, recognized as Genesis Salesperson of the Year, was also named a President’s Club Officer and a Bronze Qualifier.

Veoshe Johnson received the Century Club Award, the Quality Life Award, Gold Qualifier recognition, and MDRT Qualifier status. Ann Hutchinson was also a recipient of the Quality Life Award, achieved Gold Qualifier status, and was an MDRT Qualifier. Aisha Adderley received the Quality Life Award, was a Silver Qualifier, and an MDRT Qualifier. Bridgette Sands was recognized as a Silver Qualifier and an MDRT Qualifier.

Recognizing team excellence, the Admirable Club received the Branch Persistency Award and was also recognized as a Silver Qualifier. Additionally, the Unit Persistency & Unity Performance Award was presented to Sandra Walkes’ Unit, while the Unit Recruiting Award went to Sandradee Henfield’s Unit. The Northern Branch, led by Sandradee Henfield and Merranda Lowe, was recognized with the Branch Recruiting Award, further demonstrating Colina’s ongoing growth and development.

Robert Sands was recognized with the Quality Life Award, while Sharon Flowers was honoured with the Group Medical Award. Additionally, Shakeilya Knowles earned recognition as the CGIA Top Performer and a Bronze Qualifier.
The company also celebrated its Gold, Silver, and Bronze qualifiers. The Bronze qualifiers included Lynette Thompson, Sandradee Henfield, Yvonne Gibson-Sands, Carmen Major, Janith Mullings, Robert Adams, Theresa Sherman, Georgette McKenzie, and Wayne Miller. Silver qualifiers included Sharlene Hanna and the Admirable Club. Gold qualifiers included James Seymour, Shakira Dean, and Ann Hutchinson.

Acknowledging the hard work of Colina’s team, Seymour emphasized the importance of celebrating their contributions. “Our team works tirelessly to push Colina forward, so it is important to take a moment to recognize and celebrate their dedication,” highlighted Seymour. “Their commitment to providing exemplary services to customers is the foundation of Colina and today is about honouring their invaluable contributions.”

The MDRT Qualifiers were Alfreda Knowles, Lynette Thompson, Wayne Miller, Sandradee Henfield, Carmen Major, and Yvonne Gibson-Sands. Meanwhile, the Million Dollar Round Table Aspirant Awards were presented to Deone Wilson, Andrea Rolle, and Rosamund Stubbs, celebrating their promising potential for top-tier success in the industry.
The Awards Day celebration brought employees together from across the organization on New Providence, Grand Bahama, Abaco and Exuma, offering a well-deserved opportunity to recognize both individual and collective achievements.
“We received good feedback because people enjoyed themselves and welcomed the afternoon off,” explained Seymour. “This is the one time each year that we get to see colleagues from other islands.”

The event, held at the Baha Mar Convention Centre, highlighted Colina’s collective success and commitment to a bright future. Hosted by Cameron Reckley, the celebration was energized by DJ Tank’s lively music and a vibrant Junkanoo rush-out led by the Shell Saxons Superstars, four-time Boxing Day and New Year’s Day champions. The beat of the goat skin drum added an authentic Bahamian touch, making for an unforgettable afternoon.
