Colina Sponsors Sweat Fete

Nassau, The Bahamas, October 7, 2019 – Colina sponsored the second annual Sweat Fete charity fitness experience with employee volunteers on-hand distributing water throughout the day on Saturday past, October 5, 2019.

The breast cancer awareness event offered health screenings and information with food sampling, prizes and surprises. Attendees were encouraged to wear pink to raise awareness and donations were accepted on site for persons recently impacted by Hurricane Dorian.

“Breast cancer is very prevalent in our society and Colina is committed to doing what we can to raise awareness and funds for the cause,” said Maxine Seymour, Director, Corporate Communications, Colina Insurance Limited. “The level of engagement demonstrated by participants, many of whom were survivors, was impressive.”

“I myself am a six-year breast cancer survivor and can definitely identify with the daily mental, financial and physical challenges this disease can impose on the survivor and also their loved ones,” said Anita Rolle, Organizer, Sweat Fete. “I have made a commitment to aid in the fight against this disease through community involvement and assistance.”

During the day, Colina representatives gave out water and answered questions about the company’s numerous life and health insurance options. Sweat Fete was held at Goodman’s Bay and ended with a Junkanoo Rushout.
