Colina Gears Up for the Chickcharney Challenge

Insurer Backs Organization with Platinum Sponsorship

Nassau, The Bahamas, January 17, 2023 – The Chickcharney Challenge is back, after the pandemic, and Colina is a proud platinum sponsor of the charity event.

“At Colina, we are super excited that the Chickcharney Challenge is returning,” said Maxine V. Seymour, Director, Corporate Communications, Colina. “We are committed to the health and wellness of our communities and recognize that fitness and athleticism are important components of good health.”

The event is set to return later this month after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

“We are extremely happy to have Colina come back as a partner after such a long time to enable us to do a lot more of the community outreach that we have done before,” said Chester Robards, Chickcharney CEO. “This year we are getting some boys from the S.U.R.E. school to come and run the race. We want to take this opportunity to show these young men who are at-risk something positive, something new.”

“The global body of obstacle course racing is trying to get into the Olympics,” said Robards. “The Chickcharney Chirren Group are trying to build up obstacle course racing in The Bahamas. We are just happy to have partners like Colina who can help us do that.”

In addition, to the Company’s focus on health and wellness, Colina is also dedicated to youth development.

“Our teams are geared up and ready to participate in this noteworthy event,” said Seymour. “We are thrilled that young men from the S.U.R.E. program will be participating. It is critical for young men to be exposed to positive activities and influences,” said Seymour.

“We wish the Chickcharney Chirren every success,” said Seymour.

The Chickcharney Challenge will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the Clifton Heritage Park. The challenge features a fun obstacle course inclusive of dirt, mud and a start and finish line on the beach. The event is for novices with little to no athletic experience to those with greater athletic abilities. Proceeds will aid at risk young men in the S.U.R.E program.

About Chickcharney Chirren

In 2014 four friends came together to start a business. One had a dream, one had creative prowess, one was methodical, and the fourth had unequalled drive. Together they formed the Chickcharney Chirren. They designed the Chickcharney Challenge and launched the inaugural event in February of 2015. Because of the great feedback, they held a second Challenge two months later, securing the challenge as a premier fitness event in the Bahamas. The company has since evolved and continues to grow in obstacle offerings, complexity, creativity, partners, and management. Chickcharney Chirren gives back to the community every year.
